Barkbox: April 2013

Hi Guys-

My favorite package came last week & I wanted to fill you in!  It's Barkbox time!

I immediately went to the treats:  Etta Says Duck Jerky and they were just how I like my treats.  Duck flavored and soft.  So yummy!

They also sent me a duck chew and I went to town on it.  Momma of course got right in my face.

I'm going down to the Bay House this weekend, so I think I'll take these with me.  They're Fetch & Glow balls made especially for small dogs.  And they glow in the dark and float.  Perfect for me and Buster to play with!

Also included was a Safechew Gimme Gummy.  It's safe to heat up in the oven to bake a treat inside, or stuff.  I wasn't sure of it at first, but once Mom stuffed it full of treats, I was a big fan!

Barkbox also decided to include some items that I wasn't too fond of, but Momma says they're good.  We'll agree to disagree.

First up are Groom Mitts- they're basically mitts you can use instead of a bath to wipe down your dog.  I guess I'll be fine with these, I just don't like anything that mentions cleaning.  But anything is better than a bath!  And Mom says they'll be good for after the dog park.  Especially since I like to hang out with big dogs that slobber.

They also included two vitamin samples for me to try.  I'll keep you posted, but I don't know about these...  They were nice enough to include a coupon!

So to wrap up, I'm still a big fan!  And can't wait until next month!

Please Forgive Me... I've had Spring Fever!

Hi Guys-

I know, it's been awhile.  But it's been so darn nice out that I've had a hard time concentrating on writing my updates!  Instead of boring you with a day by day update, I'll just give you lots of picture highlights!!

Oh- and excuse the hair cut.  Mommy made me cut it for Easter.  You know I hate the groomer, but it has been nice for the hot days!!  Here's my before & after- featuring Cousin Emma!

Here I am at Easter, post hair cut.  Gotta love Easter Baskets!!

I've also been enjoying some dog park time!

And of course days with my family at wineries!  I went to 3 new ones for me this past weekend: Crysalis, Cana Vineyards and Quattro Goomba Winery!

Quattro Goomba Winery had some great pizza, and I even got a few pieces of delicious pepperoni!

Now that spring is here, we have a lot of fun things planned!  And I promise I'll be better about filling you in!

I See Spring!

Hi Guys,

Weather in VA is always a little crazy.  Last week we were in the middle of the snowstorm, but by the weekend it was in the 50s and 60s.

My family went down to the Bay House (where Maw Maw & Paw Paw live) to check on Maw Maw who recently had surgery.  I'm excited to say that she's doing great!

It was so nice and down there I can be off leash, so my family decided to take a walk!  Paw Paw and my cousin Buster joined in on the fun.

Here are a few pictures we took on the walk!

What a fun weekend!  I was sad to leave, but summer is almost here and that means lots of trips down to the Bay!

Happy Trails,

Jack

My New Swanky Pet ID

Hi Guys,

A few posts ago I mentioned that my Barkbox came with a $10 gift card to Wag.com! I was sure that Momma would buy me more treats, but she said I already had too many.  What!?

So instead she used the gift card towards a new ID because my old one was looking a little worn down.  I guess next Redskins season I'll need a new one!

She found the perfect one for me on the site.  Boyish, stylish and a perfect fit for my personality from Dog Tag Art:

It says "Hello, my name is Jack" and on the back has all the important stuff in case I ever get separated from my family (I don't like to think about that!).  But the front is large enough that now all the cute dogs in the neighborhood will know who I am before I get there!

I have to say, I love it and would recommend this site and Dog Tag Art's work.

Plus, I think I look pretty spiffy!

Snowquester Snow Day!

Hi Guys,

We woke up this morning and SNOWQUESTER is here!  Right now they're expecting us to get 4-8 inches in the metro DC area.

My whole family is at home today and I went outside this morning to check out the conditions.

It's really coming down now so I'm waiting to go back outside for some more play time!

Happy Trails,

Jack
